Medical Standards & Crucial Disqualification Factors (Para 12.11)
Candidates who clear Paper-II must undergo a comprehensive Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by specialized medical boards appointed by CAPFs and Delhi Police:
- Visual Acuity Norms: Minimum distant vision must be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) without visual correction (no spectacles, contact lenses, or surgical corrections allowed). Near vision must be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).
- Colour Vision: Candidates must possess high-grade colour vision. Colour blindness leads to immediate disqualification.
- Orthopaedic & Surgical Conditions: Candidates must be completely free from knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, hammertoes, or squint in eyes.
- Physical & Mental Fitness: Candidates must have healthy respiratory, circulatory, and neurological systems without physical defects likely to interfere with demanding field duties.
